PAINFUL VICTORY

ADVEERTISEMENT

Every new step brings happiness
With a blossoming heart
Just like the flowers of the garden
The illuminating smiles
Surrounding the chin

The steps grows taller
The quake becomes often
Little smiles with more focus
Mounting a pillar of defense
Just like the walls of Jericho

Fought many unseen battles
Crawled on thorns and rocks
Bleeding like a vandalized pipe
Hopes proved abortive
Support unimaginable

But the resolute spirit reilluminated
Got stronger by the focus ahead
Building castles of self hope
With no iota of pain or grieve
Just because I know the battle is won
