ENEMY TO MERCY

ADVEERTISEMENT

Oh! CORO
The teddy that moved the spine of the mighty
Toyed with the tail of the tiger
Compromised the height of the iroko

How great thou are
You closed the doors of heaven
Investing billions in a condemned salvation
Just to bring to bear our greed and wickedness

CORO has force the lion to rat for safety
Still under the thatched roof
Where he never thought was safe for him
Just because of his greed and wickedness

Flyers have stopped flying
Borders are shot down
World economy on a free fall
Just because CORO sneezed

The vulnerable wish you remain with the rich
Neither do the rich wish you stay with them
The taste of the PANDEMIC is bitter sweet
Let the CORO lesson yield fruits

  1. An eye opener for sure. Coro has brought nothing if not a sense of equality and a universal feeling of mortality amongst all irrespective of color, religion and/or status. Good poem.
